SOP for operation of Vacuum oven

I.                   PURPOSE

            To describe the procedure for operation of Vacuum oven.

V.                 PROCEDURE

1.0        Ensure that the instrument is clean and free from dust.

2.0       Close the door properly.

3.0       Connect the plug to the main board and switch on the power supply.

4.0        Switch on the mains on instrument.

5.0        Set the temperature by pressing the UP (Ù) and DOWN (Ú) arrow key as per specified in test procedure.

6.0        Now the bottom display will show the set temperature and the top display will show the   actual temperature.

7.0        Connect the vacuum pump inlet to oven.

8.0        Then switch on the vacuum pump then set the required vacuum pump as per specified in   test procedure.

9.0        After the temperature and vacuum is reached switch off the vacuum pump and close         valve tightly.

10.0          When the drying is over release the vacuum and put of the main power.

11.0          Always clean the chamber from inside after use.
