I. PURPOSE
To describe the procedure for
operation of Muffle furnace.
II. SCOPE
This procedure is applicable to Muffle furnace in Quality Control department,
III. RESPONSIBILITY
Assistant, Executive -QC

Manager - QC
V.
PROCEDURE
1.0 Ensure that the instrument is clean and
free from dust.
2.0
Close the door properly.
3.0
Connect the plug to the main board
and switch on the power supply.
4.0 Switch on the mains on instrument.
5.0 Set the temperature by pressing the UP (Ù) and
DOWN (Ú)
arrow key as per specified in test
procedure.
6.0 Now the bottom display will show the set
temperature and the top display will show the actual
temperature.
7.0 Keep the ventilator partly open.
8.0 After the temperature is reached, keep the
sample inside the muffle furnace, then the ignition
will occur.
9.0 Switch off the instrument after use.
