SOP for the operation of BOD incubator

I.          PURPOSE

To describe the procedure for the operation of BOD incubator.

II.        SCOPE

This procedure is applicable to BOD incubator in Microbiology Department.

III.       RESPONSIBILITY

Assistant-Microbiologist.

 

IV.       ACCOUNTABILITY

Incharge  - Quality Control

V.        PROCEDURE

1.0       Ensure that the equipment is clean.

2.0       Connect the equipment to the main power.

3.0       Ensure that the equipment is properly validated and has validation tag.

4.0       Keep the equipment in a room having constant temperature and away from any heating device

5.0       Close the door properly.

6.0       Switch “ON” the mains.

7.0       Set the temperature on the controller by pressing “RED” button and turn the “BLACK” knob            till the desired temperature is obtained.

8.0        Switch “ON” the cooling switch and heating switch

9.0        Digital display will show the set temperature.

10.0          Record the temperatures twice in a day in Format No. F01/SOPPM015.
